Personal Training

I am proud to offer customized personal training and small group training sessions in my studio in Pikesville, MD. FaceTime training sessions are also available for those who live outside the Baltimore area!

 

What to Expect

My personal training is completely customized based on your current fitness level - everyone starts somewhere, and we’ll work upward from there! All personal training clients, including FaceTime clients, benefit from this unique form of instruction.

No Fitness Background

If you are not a current exerciser, we’ll begin at the base phase of my fitness program, starting with stabilization. Stabilization exercises work on providing dynamic joint support and maintaining correct posture during all movements. Our goal in this phase is increasing your muscular endurance.

Mid-Level Fitness Background

For clients with some experience in fitness, we’ll begin training with some stabilization work, as well as strength work to increase your fitness abilities. In other words, we’ll take you to the next level of your fitness journey through safe and effective workouts.

Professional Athletes & Lifelong Sports Participants

For this elite level of clients, we’ll focus on taking you from the strength phase of your fitness into the power phase. I will challenge your physical abilities like never before, and you’ll love the results!

 
 

Personal Fitness Assessment

The first step in our training journey is your personal fitness assessment, which includes the following:

  • A pre-participation health screening

  • A body composition assessment so you can track your progress weekly or monthly

  • A cardio-respiratory assessment that gauges your maximum heart rate, ensuring we keep your fitness safe and effective

  • A posture and movement assessment that helps me understand which muscles you should be working each week to ensure a healthy, functioning body

  • An optional performance assessment, useful for clients seeking to improve their athletic performance

 
 

Goal Setting & Customization

As we work together, the personal training you receive will be customized to help you achieve the results you seek. We’ll discuss your personal goals, whether they be building strength, increasing flexibility, losing weight, or any combination of these. We’ll then keep in touch about your progress, and make adjustments to your workouts to keep you on track.
